"The author presents this situation beautifully and added some very hot sex scenes and an appropriate ending. Serenity is a disturbing character, totally insane, able to use magic and in lust with Devon. Kalen is a more seductive figure, opportunistic, but with feelings for Maggie. This is a very well done story."

Kalen Price was used by a woman he thought he loved, and who returned to another man. When she invites him to her wedding on the Fifth of May, he believes she is trying to tell him something. With one last hope, he heads to Chicago. And finds that Maggie is truly in love, doing what she wants to do, and glad he’s there because...she felt sorry for him. The only saving grace is Maggie’s partner, Sylvie King, who is determined to distract Kalen from his misery. In the process, he discovers soulmate bonding via Slow Build.

"Ms Damschroder penned a very entertaining tale with this story. Her characters are believable, and the emotional tension was just tight enough to keep me turning pages. In a world that is only slightly different from ours, in that some people are mages and born with an affinity for a particular element, her world building was subtle but strong. It was definitely enough to keep me interested throughout the book. A very well written read that I highly recommend!"
